Go to “Protection” on the screen’s left side and then click on “Core Shields.” Click on the Avast icon from the System tray or type in “Avast” in the Windows Start menu. For most blocked websites or email attachments, all you need to do is disable a specific shield rather than turning the entire antivirus off. Turning off all the Avast shields might be overdoing it. Note: If you want to restart the Avast shields, click on “Turn On” from the main window. If it has been disabled successfully, you’ll be shown a message telling you all shields are disabled. To check if Avast has been disabled or not, open the Avast interface.
In case you don’t choose an option, then Avast will deny the action automatically. So, you need to click OK to disable Avast. You will get 60 seconds to confirm whether you wish to disable Avast or not. Now, a pop-up window will open up asking you to confirm your actions. Choose the option that meets your requirements.
